I grew up as a Millennial in a Southern Baptist church in Oklahoma, so you can probably correctly guess what I had been taught. Basically, whatever you read or see in the Left Behind series was pretty close to what I had in my mind. More recently, my discipleship group was studying these things as we read through Revelation, while also going back and forth between other books of both the Old and New Testaments as we studied. I’ve had it in my mind and heart for a while to sit down and organize my current conclusions from these fresh studies.
Continue reading “On the Tribulation and Rapture”Reflecting on my time at the 2022 SBC Annual Meeting and the troubling things I’ve seen and read for several years, I find myself in a curious position. Should I stay or should I go? Thus, I’d like to share what I believe my options are, along with the pros and cons of each.
Continue reading “To Stay SBC or Not to Stay SBC”This post is directly related to the passage of Resolution 5 at the 2022 SBC Annual Meeting, which can be read in its entirety here. A more accurate title would be, “Are All Pastors Automatically Abusers if They Commit Sexual Immorality With Someone in Their Church?”, but I didn’t want to make it too long.

This letter is for wives who need something to help them keep their head straight after they have been hurt again. Continue reading “A Letter for Wives After Their Christian Husband’s Lust Has Hurt Them Again”Brothers and sisters, if someone is overtaken in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual, restore such a person with a gentle spirit, watching out for yourselves so that you also won’t be tempted.

It was quite helpful and challenging and seemed to benefit my ninja skills. At the time, I didn’t know much about yoga’s background or how it was connected to Eastern religions. Then I gained some knowledge.
